Hi, my name is Crystal Antle and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. I decided in the third grade that I wanted to be a social worker—but the “good kind.” As a child, I had already met a social worker that didn’t question enough or care enough, at least it seemed, to dig deeper into the situation at hand. This made an impression on me. I wanted to do better, listen harder, advocate more and help those who were having trouble helping themselves.
I was fortunate enough to go on to meet some fabulous examples of social workers – social workers that showed others how to change their perceptions of life, and who taught them how to re-frame their negative thoughts. A good therapist/social worker can help you to figure things out, change things, turn your life around and help you gain awareness of how you are standing in your own way! Yes, YOU! You have the power to change your life! It has been my life's passion to attain the education and training necessary to help you learn how to change your life, move past your trauma, dispel your obsessive and negative thoughts, and establish healthy habits and boundaries with others. I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA and graduated with an undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2003 in Social Work. I worked for several years in the field before obtaining a Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University in 2013. I have varied experience across a range of ages and populations, including those living with infectious and chronic disease, mental health and addictive behaviors, and college-aged counseling. I have a special interest in helping those suffering from eating disordered behavior, poor body image, bariatric issues, personality disorders and those who have had or am contemplating weight loss surgery. I am also available to those living with depression, anxiety, and a wide array of other psychiatric conditions. When working with clients, I use an eclectic blend of therapies customized to meet the need of the individual, family or group. If you are contemplating therapy, congratulations, you are taking the first step. It is essential to find a therapist that you feel is a good fit. You can contact me via email, phone or this site to schedule an appointment. If you have a condition, disorder or issue that is not within my scope of practice or we are not a good therapeutic fit, then I will refer you to someone who is. |
